Poetics Orchestra

New York City-based musician and poet Drew Gardner uses an adaptation of Butch Morris’s conduction system to create wild, spontaneous conductions of improvised music played by indie rock, folk and jazz players combined with poets performing their original work.

Drew Gardner is a poet and multi-instrumentalist. He spent his early years as an avant-garde jazz drummer. He has written three books of poetry, the latest of which is Chomp Away.
